If you take lots of text-notes, and want to be able to get to them wherever you are, and write them wherever you are, Piconote is a simple solution.
You have to register for a free account, and then you can download the Windows application, and use the online and mobile service too. If you've used something like EverNote, Piconote will seem really basic - you can't store pictures, or hotlinks or any multimedia: just text notes.
The advantage of this stripped down approach is simplicity, as there really is nothing to using Piconote. Click the 'add note' button, write whatever you want, add another note, click synchronize.
Very easy. On the other hand, there is no method for ordering your notes, not even a windows style folder tree. Of course you can edit whatever you want and whether you do so in the application or online, it will be synchronized everywhere.
Piconote is a very simple, but perfectly functional note taking app. It is unlikely to trouble its more flexible competitors at the moment, though.
